Crashes to Widows when commit to mission
Hello,
I installed BP WiH last night and every time I commit to the mission "Nothing is True", the game crashes on me. I am running off of the 3.7.1 No SSE and have the compatibility mod installed. I already reinstalled the BP mod once, and it fixed an earlier issue of the game crashing at start up, but then ran into this one.

Let me know. Thanks.

Re: Crashes to Widows when commit to mission
Why are you running the game with nonormal, nospec and noglsl options? Your GeForce 9800 GTX should be able to handle these. If you have performance issues, please change file extension or remove adv-bp2.vp, adv-bp.vp and MV_Advanced.vp instead. You should also remove mipmap option since it is unnecessary.

Also, please use fs2_open_3_6_17_SSE2_BP.exe that was installed with BP2.

No. Don't. That build has some nasty bugs that can destroy your pilot file and make the game more difficult than it's meant to be. Use the build here instead, which does not have these problems.
"Your fighter is running out of oil.  Please check under the hood and add more if necessary"
--strings.tbl, entry 177

"Freespace is very tired.  It is shutting down to get some rest."

Re: Crashes to Widows when commit to mission
I avoided the 3.6.17 version because of all the problems I read about it.
I downloaded the 3.7.0 SSE2 version and seems to be working fine right now. Hopefully this solution will keep working.

And this is why it was a bad idea to use unofficial builds.
