Making a run for it
Got tired banging my head on the wall with TAP ships, so I decided to relax and make this:

Opinions?

Yes, well, it's a weird moon. The lighting is off. I reccomend Lunarcell.

Lol, I just noticed it myself, and it's off because I left self illumination on on that material

Oh well, I might just as well fix that.

I think it's pretty nice , though a bit weird. :)

The sun is nice and the beam (?) is different, and looks good, but the ship at the front looks strange... blurred textures and can't be seen very well. The moon could also use some more polys, though that's not too important.

The beam is supposed to look like a homeworld beam, though it has maybe a bit too many of those "bumps" right now. The ship is also a homeworld ship, with low-res textures and only 200 polys(!) so it really doesn't look too great.

That's no moon...it's a space station! :p :p
Suggestions:
1)Yeah, beem needs to be less bumpy...still looks good though
2) The bullets from the Defender, IMO, need to be in a straight line
3) Motion blur! :D

The beam and its glow look very nice, especially with the explosion, and the damage on the right side (The steam/cloud of gas) is a nice touch.

1. I'll have to look more into making good looking beams.
2. Defender!? That is a kushan destroyer! And they don't have to be straight, because it apparently doesn't aim all shots at the same point.
3. Well, they're not excactly moving(though the threads name might suggest that)

BTW I updated it, with real lighting(ie. it's dark as hell).
