Problems with blueplanet
Hi!
thanks for  read my  question.  first  I'm Spanish and my english is not very good :ick:   
I have a problem with blueplanet when  I run the launcher, there are some errors:

We can help you out. I already know what's causing the first problem. Please go to this thread and install the compatibility VPs into blueplanet and blueplanet2. You are trying to run BP without using a BP build. These packages let you run BP without a BP build.

Your second problem is probably caused by missing MediaVPs. BP requires the 3.6.12 MediaVPs to run. Please post your fs2_open.log file.  Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.

And launcher is he using, he may have the same problem as myself? Soon as I changed to Launcher 5.5g. problem solved!

first  I have downloaded   bp-compat.vp  on the folder  C:\Games\Freespace 2\blueplanet   and  bp2-compat.vp on the folder  C:\Games\Freespace 2\blueplanet2

Second   the version  of my launcher is  5.5.0.6  and  I made  the log  using fs2_open_3_7_1_BP_SSE2-DEBUG but there are errors    when  I started the campaign:

They aren't compatible yet, unfortunately. Install the 3.6.12 MediaVPs in /FreeSpace 2/mediavps_3612/ and that error will go away.

And don't forget to enable 'use 3d models in ship selection' and 'use 3d models in weapon selection'.

Your GPU is at best marginal for BP builds. I strongly recommend using the official 3.7.0 build instead.

And yes, you need the 3.6.12 MediaVPs. BP may run with the new ones, but it is not guaranteed, and not supported.

The 2014 MVPs are a very new release, so a lot of campaigns haven't had a chance to check for compatibility with them. In the future BP will run with the 2014 MVPs.

You're missing MV_Root, MV_Root.3612, and MV_Effects.3612. Stick those in your mediavps_3612 folder and everything should work fine. You can find them in the MediaVPs 3612 release thread.

OK sorry,     to extract   the folder  generated another folder  on mediavps_3612.  :banghead:  I have  put   all archives on folder mediavps_3612 and  now  all  is correct :D

Did you install the compatibility VPs? I thought you said you had. Just use a recent nightly build, if you have. No BP build required.

Yes,   I downloaded (http://blueplanet.fsmods.net/BP%20Compatibility.7z )  bp-compat.vp  on the folder  C:\Games\Freespace 2\blueplanet   and  bp2-compat.vp on the folder  C:\Games\Freespace 2\blueplanet2

Then grab a recent nightly build and use it to play the mod. Make sure you select the standard build, not the debug.
