twenty thousand battutas cry out in exultation!



today, gathered in joy, we are all battutas

My novel 'The Traitor Baru Cormorant' will be - uh, well, it's going to have an agent (once I select among the offers I've received), which is a huge step on the road to publication.

And pending any awful disaster, I'll be moving to Seattle to start work as a writer at Bungie Studios, creators of Marathon, Halo, and the forthcoming Destiny.



My work on Blue Planet was the centerpiece of my application, so I owe this one to the BP crew, everyone from the SCP who's helped out, and the community.
