No weapons in Vasudan Imperium
Hello,

I need help with this mod.  I am so close to getting it to run properly.  I have everything working except I have no guns or missles.  Can someone please help me?  I attached my debug file.

Try moving this file somewhere outside your FSO directory.  It might be conflicting with the VI Mod.

Hey Niffiwan thanks for the quick response.

Unfortunately I still have the same problem.  I moved the file into the folder labelled Battle For Altair.  Any other ideas?

I do have a folder labled fsport-mediavps that I downloaded.  This is in addition to fsport.  Do I need to get rename it fsportmvps?

Go into the mod.ini file, open it in WordPad, alter the fsportmvps part to say fsport-mvps (or whatever your FSPort MVPs folder is called), and save it. You MUST be sure not to alter the file's .ini extension, so make sure you have file extensions enabled in Windows Explorer.

Well unfortunately that didn't work.  I kept the extension and all in the mod.ini file located in my Vasudan Impreium mod folder.  Still no primary or secondary weapons.

You don't need to restart. However, that log shows no change in your mod.ini file. It's still trying to load fsportmvps instead of fsport-mvps.

Make a copy of your fsport-mvps folder. Rename it to fsportmvps. Try loading again.

Wow thats frustrating because I changed the wordpad file text to fsport-mediavps.  This was in the secondary list section.

Anyways still no luck with my weapons.  Here is the latest.

Now it IS loading from fsport-mediavps. You still have an fsport-mediavps folder, right?

Can you post a screenshot of your FS2 directory?

Dude I'm only frustrated because I feel like I'm taking your time up.  Also cause I am new and not able to do all the stuff that you know how to do.  I love this game too much to give up on it so if you have the patience that is awesome.

Anyways here is a screenshot.  Should I rename the folder or should I rewrite the mod.ini?  Or something else?

I see fsportmvps there, but not fsport-mvps. Can you try leaving them both in your FreeSpace 2 folder? (I have a nagging hunch even this won't solve the problem, but...)

I wish I were better at troubleshooting FSPort stuff. I'm looking at the Vasudan Imperium demo release now.

I moved it out of the FreeSpace 2 folder but I'll try throwing it back in.  Not  sure it matters but it the second one (the copy I made) is called fsport-mediavps (you sometimes refer to it as fsport-mvps in your comments).  I only mention it cause the names of these things seem to be so important.

Here goes nothing.
