Its the first time i ever attempt to do anything like this, my big problem is im a big 0 at designing models, so 3D was a big no-no from the start, so i started "working", on GIMP made .png models, and those will have to do for now, as i can upgrade graphics at anytime is not a big deal right now.
As for the gameplay, it will be highly exploration based with randomly generated stuff that player will have to scout, combined with homeworld like gameplay, stuff will have to be researched and produced, that incluides weapons and ships, as well as the ships will need food and water.
I also plan to add X3 like customization on it, where you can choose the weapons and shields for the ships, but thats will be probably the last thing.
As for the universe, you will start in a sector with a Scout Frigate and some resources and you need to start up from there, each sector will have at least 1
jump node, mm no,
jump point, mmm no, ok ill figure out the name later, leading to another sector/s...
