Using Campaign Editor [FIXED]
Hello,

Lately I've been trying to get back into FREDing, and today I was attempting to put together a mini-campaign.

But apparently, due to my lack of FRED prowess, I still cannot see any missions listed in the 'Available missions' window. I've searched around on here, and I've tried the empty-campaign-into-missions-folder fix, but it still hasn't worked. It should also be worth noting that this has been a consistent problem for me throughout multiple installations of FS2 on multiple different computers over the past 10 years. I have never been able to get that damned thing working, and I cannot find any help documentation on the matter.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  :)

EDIT: Turns out you need to have the missions and campaign in their own mod folder, e.g. (C:\Games\Fresspace 2\bleh\data\missions\).

From there, you need to set the FS2 Launcher to the mod (in this case, "bleh").

Go back into Campaign Editor and boom, mission is there.

Re: Using Campaign Editor [FIXED]
If FRED is being loaded with a mod, FRED's campaign editor only looks at the "top most" mod's mission folder.

So if you have been saving your missions in FreeSpace2/data/missions and you're using mediavps_2014 as a mod, then FRED only looks at FreeSpace2/mediavps_2014/missions and ignores the other directories.
