Joystick+Mouse Control Scheme?
Greetings! I've been attempting to map Diaspora to operate on a hybrid control scheme with Joystick and Mouse, but am having some difficulty keeping the two peripherals separate in the keybinds. I've noticed that moving the mouse left while I was attempting to bind the controls to the mouse actually mapped it to the X axis of the joystick... which is not what I want to happen.

Has anyone had any luck with this control scheme configuration at all? Is it even possible within Diaspora?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Joystick+Mouse Control Scheme?
This control scheme is currently not possible on FSO, and thus, Diaspora. There are plans to allow such a feature in the next major revision, but that's some time away now.

What where you planning to do with the mouse, btw?

Thanks for the reply! I was initially attempting to use Diaspora as a test ground for various keybinding control setups mostly.

Re: Joystick+Mouse Control Scheme?
Oh, cool. I've got some plans for the controls scheme that'll not only release the mouse bindings from the joystick, but also add support for in-game config for scripted controls as well as some additional control types, such as two-staged triggers and slew axes.

It's going to take some time to get around to implementing it though.  :nervous:
