Another "halp bp:AoA crashes" thread
Just to cut and skip the most obvious questions for any helpers convinience:

Yes, I have all the required mediavps_3612. Even had to individually extract that I got them right.

Yes, I have all the files required for the actual mod.

Using fs2_open_3_7_2_RC3_SSE-DEBUG from launcher to get the fs2_open.log, posted on pastebin here http://pastebin.com/KcgfDkvm

Crash happens after loading finishes prior to the pre-briefing messages for the first mission. Breaking into debug from the crash screen, mod allows me to listen to those pre-briefing messages but not proceed any further from that point. All keys expect ESC responds and mouse cant select continue from botton right corner or anything at all in that state.

The problem seems to be that you do not have the MV_Root.vp file for the 2014 MediaVPs. Please download this, unzip it, and copy MV_Root.vp to your mediavps_2014 directory.

Cheers for the rapid support, got past the crash point now. Seems to be another hiccup that the FSO installer "forgot" to include in its packages. I'll return if I encounter anything else which I cant solve on my own.

On another note, the link you proved and all other links to fsmods are dead or broken. Noticed this yesterday too when going through the list of required files.

If the 2014 MediaVPs aren't listed by the installer, it means the download server is down again. There's a bittorrent link in the release thread that should still work.

<MageKing17> "There's probably a reason the code is the way it is" is a very dangerous line of thought. :P
<MageKing17> Because the "reason" often turns out to be "nobody noticed it was wrong".

<MageKing17> this ****ing code did it to me again

<MageKing17> It was all working perfectly until I actually tried it on an actual mission.
