I have upgraded two of my Battlestar Galactica ships. Making use of the new modding tools available and all the experience I've picked up doing stuff for The Babylon Project of late. These are the Colonial Viper and the Cylon Raider. Both models are uv mapped, and painted up with template textures. I need someone who can come in using Paint Shop Pro/Photoshop or whatever and do me some accurate textures in place of the template textures. I've got tons of reference material to work from.

It's a worthwhile project for someone. If you've ever installed my initial (rough round the edges) BSG mod you'll know that it's bloody good fun to play. The 1/2 hit kills make for some tense nail biting dogfighting.

look, i really loved when i was a little boy the battlestar galactica tv serie, and i will be very happy to help you, problem is that i'm already involved in the sw-fs2 conversion, i'm extremely busy and slow so i dare it will be impossible for me to continuosly participate at another project. only way i can help you, if you don't find anyone else, is that you give me the already unwrapped model and the templates from the unwrapper, the reference that may help and i will spend some time on it when i can, but obviously i have to give max priority to the other project, and since i'm -as said- estremely slow, it will probably take months to have the job finished

I saw your work on the Star Wars mod. Very professional. Better than anything I've ever cobbled together. Keep on with that and you're bound to make a lot of people very happy. Someone else with a little more spare time is bound to turn up.

Well the Colonial Shuttle is uv mapped and ready for painting now also. Next the up the Cylon Mine, Galactica, and Cylon Base Star in that order.

   Glad to have found you. I picked up your mod months ago but found it during an exhastive search and forgot where I found it otherwise I would have mailed you.  I was wondering if you could make the .pof bigger? I love the mod but in relative size to the ships in FS2 the ship needs to be 2 or 3 times bigger. I can't get my Veritech in the hanger! :doh:

I have one special folder where I spliced all the mods together and now every ship I fly has the viper sound for the afterburner... Guess I'll have to learn about sounds now.. (by your command)...

Yes, the Galactica is too small. You can barely fit a viper into it's launch bay and the shuttle is double the size so there's no chance of squeezing one of those in. If you look closely the Galactica's name plate is also on back to front. Nice! That's what the a in the version number means. Alpha. It never got to a stage where I was happy to call it a full version and won't until someone does a decent job of painting the ships and produces a nice snazzy BSG themed interface. Sound and music I have covered though. My home version has a 30mb soundtrack and a 100 turret Cylon Base Star. If you want them... find me staff

Hey Ian.... Iam glad to see that you are still working on the BSG mod. Its looking real good...... I can help as soon as I figure out this UVCow plugin hehe.... Iam curently doing a reconstruction of the Bastion model that I started a long while back, Iam retexturing and doing all lods for FS2HRes..... Let me kmow if I can help. BTW are you going to update that awsome Model tut you did?

You don't need to be able to uv map to texture for me. I handle uv mapping. I've been updating the Ship Creation Guide to make it more accurate, include some new illustrations, and cover uv mapping and PCS. I've had to rearrange the structure of the document quite a bit to do this, so it's in pieces at the moment and not really in a state I can put on the web.
