I've seen that picture before. The artist whose webpage it was on was calling it a Gunstar, based on the ones from the Last Starfighter. I also use blender for making all my models because I find it much easier to use than a lot of the more powerful tools, especially since I tend to build my models face by face instead of trying to make extruded shapes and glom them together. Blender does have some odd quirks that can get kind of frustrating when you're trying to do subobjects, but not nearly as annoying as other things i've tried to model in.

I KNEW it! Something about those engines screamed "The Last Starfighter", even though the "center" of the ship is not nearly as thick as the one in the Last Starfighter.

Win2k? d'oh it can't even make FS2 to run, this crap ********. Damn, they even ripped the DOS mode   (yep, some people still needs the DOS).

Err... FS2 runs just fine. As do all of my games I have.

I have the same prob as Venom, kind of. None of my games that require DX (pretty much all of them... except Alpha Centauri) - which is FS2, IW2, B&W, Terminus, and a few others, will run. FS2 tells me it can't detect any 3d acceleration. This is with DX8 installed.

My solution? Back to Win98 2nd ed... cool...
I got the best windows ever: I switch on my comp, windows loads, the destop appear: boom, reboot. 2nd windows load, desktops appear, boom crash: no icons appear and a beautifull green line shows on the upper part of the desktop. My record? 3 reboots tyhen a crash, all in a row... Time for formating... but I don't think like reinstalling everything again... d'oh.

Oh, I had that, but I got the newest version of the drivers, and then I reinstalled FS2, and viola! It runs. And there really isn't a difference in game play between the platforms...
