F1 today.... I spit on it.
This has been bugging me for a long time. Now Micheal Scumacher  has the 5th WC title, he has won the Hockenheim GP, crushed almost every record in existence, never aborted in the entire season, and still has no plans for retirement.

I predict that as soon Schumi  goes Senna, Montoya will become the next WC, although in a much more interesting year, if you can understand my bad use of... words in general. And from the looks of it, Schumacher  will most likely be the 6th WC in a year.

I could take all that if Ferrari were a good sports. Sure they make great cars, but look at Barrichello (sp?). He's been a Guinea pig the entire year, and  when once his car does work the way it should, Ferrari orders him to pull over and give road to Schumi ,

So, are we going into Schumi  bashing, or are the vast amount of Germans in HLP going to bash me?

[edit] If we were talking about statistics, this is about the 8th thread I've started In Hard Light Main.

A bummer about Barrichello having to let Schumi pass him to win the race. He's (Barrichello) a great driver, when the car is working. *don't know about the Guinea Pig bit, though. I just see the races, when I remember it's race day*
I hope Barrichello can grab the #2 spot. :)

Why would Schumi stop racing (until next season) 'just' because he's won this year's?
I think, it's better training to drive competively, than to practice the rest of the year. It's better practice. *Did that make sense?*
Also, having the all top driver's on the track is money in the bank.

Anyway, I hope to see more of Raikkonen, though. He's done quite well this season.

Barrichello is good, but their main pilot is Schumacher, and they stick to him. If they have to order Barrichello to let Shumacher pass so they can guarantee the championship, they will do it - it's not a good practice to the eyes of the spectators, but they see it as the best way to get Ferrari at the top of the podium. Until Schumacher is done racing, Barrichello will be a support pilot - under the team's point of view, he's not there to try to win - he's there to try to make sure Shumacher wins.

Sucks specially to us, since that way there's not a single Brazilian pilot actually competing, but it's the way the team wants it. They are losing a lot of fans with that mentality, though.

no ****. He (Räikkonen) would have gotten his first GP win, if it wasn't  for Schumacher .

I just wish there was a worthy competitor the Schumi

Hey, look at Williams, they have publicly stated that they do not use that tactic, and look, Montoya is currently in second place overall.

And Ferrari are a bunch of cheating B@*stards. Remember i think it was the silverstone GP 2 years ago but i'm not sure. Shume got a 10 sec stop go which he did on the last lap and because his garage was past the start finish line he won the GP. This stood in court but reason able logic would dictate that because he crossed the finish line he served the penalty after the race had finished. For the courts to have not seen it this way someone must have been bribed.

There hasn't been a very intresting F1 race for a while.  I think it is just the way F1 is going, all the cars are so good and there arent many places on a track to pass, so long as you start on poll position (although shumacher doesnt always) and your car doesnt break down, you can pretty much win.

Perhaps if everyone just let schumacher go round and round and win his races, we could just ignore him and watch the rest of the 21  cars have some proper racing.

F1 is too unbalanced.... it's unfair on the manufacturers, but they need to try and level the standard of the cars to make it a proper test of driving.  Schumacher is certainly the best in the world, though.... but he's got it fairly easy because of the F2002's total superiority.

What they should bring back, are the cars. Man, I'd just love watching Schumacher send himself spinning to a brick wall at 300 km/h in one of those death traps  :drevil: ;7

Well, the start of this year's season was promising, with the big crash on the first or second GP, and stupid car breakdown can make the race interesting as well. Most of the time, when Barichello has a car problem and has to start from 22nd posiition, the race gets interesting, cuz he drives usuallly his way up to 2nd place.

on a side note, Estonia should hire better commentators, I can understand when they mess with Barichello's name, but I've heard them call Olivier Panis about everything from Panise to Penis.

In F1, they're called pilots. Don't ask me why.
