Sarah is a good friend of mine. I've known her for five years, and she deserves a chance to make this work. For those who can't be bothered reading the link, Sarah is a 23 year old would-be nursing student who jumped countries and is now living in the US to escape a broken home and an abusive relationship. And she'll have to go back to that life if she can't get the funding for her college courses.

When I came to HLP with nowhere left to turn last July facing homelessness, a few members who need not be named saved my life and turned things around for me. I know there are many different people with many different plights out there, but if you feel like throwing anything her way, her and I would both appreciate it very much.

Not to be a dick about it, but the standards of education in New Zealand are perfectly fine, and as a citizen shed be entitled to zero interest government loans to get her degree there. Why can't she just go home? To a different city or something, get her degree in Dunedin and burn couches for fun?
