I just came up with a idea for a new Total Conversion. :devilidea  Halo.  Just think about.  The Fall of Reach (Book) has some detail on space battles, and there is pictures of the Pillars of Autumn and fighters, Dropships, etc.  If we do some creating, There could be enough ship variety to make things variable.  Make campaign for it, and you've got an interesting TC.  What do guys think?

It was actually suggested by Stargunner (I think), but I don;t see the point.... i mean, the beauty of stuff like the Star Wars, B5 or Battlestar Galactica mod is that people recognise, and theres a kind of nostaliga... but to many people without an x-box, a Halo Tc would just be like any other mod - lots of ships you've not seen before.....

methinks a plain old 'original' TC would be just as good.

And, I've gotta say, 'The Fall or Reach' is a god-awful name for a book......... what does that actually mean?

While the brutal Covenant juggernaught sweeps inexorably through space, intent on wiping out humankind, only one stronghold remains- the planet Reach.  Practically on Earth's doorstep, it is the last military fortress to defy alien onslaught.  But Reach's defenders have another, higher priority: to prevent the Covenant from discovering the location of Earth.

Outnumbered and outgunned, the soldiers seem to have little chance agaisnt the Covenant, but Reach holds a closely guarded secret.  It is the training ground for the very first "super soldiers." Code-nammed SPARTANs, these highly advanced warriors, specially bioengineered and technologicall augmented, are the best in the universe-- quiet, professional, deadly.

Now, as the ferocious Covenant attack begins, a handful of SPARTANs stand ready to wage the ultimate war.  They will kill, they will be destroyed, but they will never surrendor.  And at least one of them--the SPARTAN known as Master Chief-- will live to fight another day on a mysterious and ancient world called Halo....

I was just thinking that it might be cool, but if no one is interested, oh-well.  However, if someone could make a model for the Halo Dropship and for the Andromeda Ascendant, that would be really cool.

Sounds good...if I could *effectively* model/tex/fred/TBL i'd help.  Who knows, if you can get this off the ground i'll do whatever I can.
