I like the new muzzel glows as much as anything else.  I did notice the screens, but seeing how few of those ships are really visable, I didn't say anything.

(and i can hardly believe its only 1500 polys, untriangulized i presume)
btw what you mean when you say that the textures are 100% hand made?
that you draw them by hand and the used a scanner????

The beam is rendered in FS2 using a couple of shades of red beams that I made from scratch.  The glow is also a custom creation with some assistance from that shareware Sun making software...umm forget the name.
