Why can I never make what I set out to make?

It started out as a DNA AWACS. Then it turned into a probe. Then it turned into a missile. Then it turned into a Helios looking thingy. Then it turned into the DHD-esq thingy above.

Anyway. I'm stuck for the bottom half. I was thinking machinery and electronics but in what ratio? Lots of pipes and cogs or lots of buttons and lights?

Suggestions, comments, vague copyright infringement warnings?

If you upsize it, it looks almost like a station.  I'm a big fan of tubes and pipes.

A station.. with a Biodome on the top...
put comm antennas on the bottom and whatnot and its one anyway...

give it 20 degrees of smoothing. that'll make the body not look so faceted, unless that's how you want it to look. and now that i think of it, that's one of the only curvy models i've seen that looks good without smoothing.

Hey, that's a pretty cool one, an0n! :yes2: :nod: :yes: (and yes, I know :yes2: doesn't work anymore...)

Starbase is what first hopped to my mind as well, but more along the lines of a Masters of Orion 2 starbase. :) As far as what to add, i'd say a few non-symmetrical tubes/pipes writhing their meandering ways across the otherwise smooth surface of the, ermm.... uhh.... long, cylindrical....uhhh.... Darn you, an0n! You did this on purpose, didn't you?!?
