No, seriously, the majority of that requires FTP access, which I don't have yet. As for setting up the new forums, what's this CoW Aldo has? I've never heard of it.

Yeesh, it'd take two seconds next time he was on HLP to ask for a forum....

As for yours, do you honstely need one?  Will it have at least a modicum of traffic?

CoW is Casualties of War.  It's a mini campaign.  As it stands there is only 1 mission left to be built for it.  So unless stealth has it done already, i'll be getting busy on it tomorrow morning.

lol, if you don't want to give me a forum just say so man!

i mean, it wouldn't be any Nodewars forum, but comparing it to other forums you've got hosted now such as 5th sun and temporal mechanics that the administrator hasn't made a post in like 6 months, i guess it'll be better than that!
 
but i mean, if you don't want to i'm cool with that, i just thought it would be nice.  i can do without one, just thought it would be nice to have.  if you're worried i'm going to *ahem* just take up space, then don't worry about it

I never said I wasn't going to.  But we're currently looking at trimming the forums, so you can see we don't want to add more empty forums.  Looking at your site it seems it'd fit better to have topics in FS modding than a seperate forum.

To be completely honest, your site, although quite impressive design-wise, is a bit confusing to me when I try to figure out exactly what it's for. How about outlining your Grand Plan™ ( :wink: ) for the site, and the kind of posts you envision would be on your forums, both public and private - so we know. :)

:D does HLP need an admin adviser...something like that, I'm willing to help if you need one that is, to join the admin to be a bit more specific.

Another matter: about space, I was thinking about this add for 250MB and 25GB monthly transfer and it only costs US$8.00 a month. Now thats a deal!! But if we could all theoritically pitch in say about 32 of us AUD: 50c each a month it would be great but the system ain't work like that because transferring money just cost like 20x times more, so I might have a server freely available for HLP hosted sites..I'll see the prices first and then give ya all the info I found and then go from there.

my site is not about a campaign or some massive MOD that i'm working on... it's a site about Freespace 1/2.  information about it, downloads for it (a more extensive download page than ANYONEs, and with a mirror site hosted by myself, so it's probably the most reliable too)... i have tutorials and information for newbies and veterans alike

hopefully one day i can start my own campaign too though

is CoW.... but I've never really felt that it requires a forum... technically, it's a sort of very loose prequel to Reciprocity (look at the history tech section in the Reciprocity site - http://www.3dap.com/hlp/hosted/reciprocity/techColonyWars.html), so if anything it would be in the Reciprocity forum...but it's a different staff (bar me), so internal forum access would be a bit tricky in that respect.
