for those intersted i'm makinga  dragon - some wip pics =) obviously still needs a head thinking on this now - dont know quite waht to go for a chinesse dargon or a dinosaur style or what suggestions?

if venom insists :wtf:  i have got saves going back through its contruction :wtf:

yup arms are next if i can figure out where to put them =( lack of fore thought in modeling is always bad idea =( but i'll squeeze them in somewhere

The wings look more like bat wings... but having no hands-on experience with dragons... I cant be sure.

The wings should be the forward bent kinda as opposed to the trailing kind. And depending on what kind of dragon you want it to be the body might do with being a little lighter/thinner. There's the Reign of Fire kinda dragons that are like snakes in the sky, and there are the Dragonheart kinda dragons like Draco who're like lions in the sky.

tis a lion in the sky =) or a t-rex in teh sky =) i've got the arm done now so looks alot better with that less like a chicken =) as for the wings  =) well hopefully if i can work out a rig that will let the wings defrom properly =) the wings can be position anyway i want them =) for now think of him ina  dive =) wings are about right for that

The wings look nice and bat like, but the body is definately a chicken. Of course to look believable the body should look like an avian creature, but I'd streamline it to look more like a bird of prey so that it seems more reasonable for flying.

Magical or not, it should look like it can fly on it's own power ;)

getting there slowly - some more facial ridges to add might defalre the nostrils abit  - cant descide between ears and horns yet - i think ears though but your input is welcome

it's cool! but now it's my time to say it looks cute :D
front view is ok, but you want to reshape the head in side and top view, coz even horns won't help you :) ( that said, from side view, the thing is definitively too short, looks like it just crashed in a wall "toon style" )
As for the shape, for realism, people shouldn't forget the bat wing "structure" is made from the bat fingers, and so all the "sticks" should all come from the hand ;)
Dragon with ears? they're reptiles, reptiles have no ears save in walt disney movies :p
