I was just thinking (I know, something I don't do very often). I know that .pof's can't be used for Primary weapons, but what about the debug laser in fs1? It uses the t-laser .pof?

Why would you want to use a pof for a primary?

POFs can certainly be used for primary weapons (the training laser uses it), but you then cannot use the elliptical rendering effect, so it does not look as good.

Vulcan, Gauss, and the like. Bullets look better than lasers when it comes to Machine Guns.

if you want and fs1 or fs2 machine gun set the pof as fury.pof and set the fire rate to .02 and let the chunks of metal fly......

The browning was ace! I edited to use teh Enforcer pistol sound from UT, made it much better.

Gatling laser was awesome. I wanted the primary to shoot out of the primary slot, with unlimited ammo. I'll use the excuse of self producing ammunition out of something.

Spitfire was pretty good. I don't particulary like reskins, but that one was awesome. It used the technique of MODIFICATION. Which explains its likeness to the Perseus. Not just naming it a new fighter. it was cool.

Not the green training laser used by the Amazon drones, the debug laser from FS1. That used T-laser.pof as its thing.

Also, the aptly named Snowflake Cannon (remember that thread? Someone dig it up)...

What was the debug laser for? it was just as good as a prometheus for debugging.

I do recall someone on the VBB had rigged the game to use the sathanas' pof as the prometheus-S bullets.

He also had it set to use the sath as the decoys/countermeasures...

Don't recall if it did collision damage or anything to ships or whatnot...

EDIT: Would there be any chance that you guys could show me where to get those weapons? I saw the browning a LONG time ago and I couldn't find it in the archives. I can't find the gatling laser either.

The Gatling Laser was part of a MOD that I put together a year ago: The GTF Spitfire.

You can get it from the 'new mods' section of HLP itself. There's also a single-shot kill missile in there called the Firestrike.
