Well, I registered in october 2001, and until february 2002 my  post count was... 12 posts or so. I read the more interesting threads, but rarely replied, for.... well, mostly cuz I either didn't bother, or had nothing to say that hadn't been said already.

And now... well, you can see.

On a totally different note, WHY WAS :headz: AND :snipe: lost!!!!????

Actually, that's pretty close to it, except for the lack of a proper call to "to_date". ;)

And I don't want to delete all that people, what did they do wrong? It's so nice to see such a high number of registered people on the forum information panel...

:D

Well, I've been convinced to leave them with us (it didn't take much... :p), but this brings up another idea: how about we email them with reminders about their registration and stuff - just to say "Hey, we care."

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

... and see how many of those mails bounce

FYI My post count was pretty low for my first six months here (and I was a lurker for a few months prior to registering).  I didn't have much to say until the source code was released.  Now (to quote Shrek) "It's getting him to shut up that's the trick" :p

Makes sense.

I'd kick anyone who hadn't posted at all in a year and no new messages in 6 months! If you're THAT uninterested in anything then why be here? Unless your just 100% Voyuer(SP?)...

Hey what are YOU looking at? :wtf:

Well they might be like me, a fly on the wall. I just post when I think I got something to say, or ask. It also might be that they want to ask a question but they have to register to do that. So they just register and ask then look a few days later and see what the answers are and leave.
I have big plans, now if only I could see them through.

It`s as good as any explanation I guess, or erm

Here's another explanation: perhaps all of us "regulars" have 30 usernames each but nobody wants to tell anyone else about that. :D

Yeah, I think that if you haven't made a post for year you should be deleted...

I don't think that anyone will be gone for year and then coming back.

Only problem is that this might include some of the less active admins. :p :D

Guys, it's a moot point. I don't think there's any chance of us trimming member registrations, and even if we did, it would be limited to members who have never made a post. Which nicely excludes that certain admin, since he's is precisely as far away from having never posted as they get. :D

But we aren't anyways, so drop it, m'kay? :D
