I'm not 100% on things, but I'm pretty sure that a hardened criminal is still a hardend criminal.

You get a guy who wants "3 hots and a cot" and is a career criminal so he doesn't have to contribute to society or whatnot who's just trying to figure out how he can avoid getting put out on parol if he's been a good boy.  Now you add in some people who're actively supporting terrorism in allied lands, killing civilians, trying to push their religion onto a fellow who'd rather put his foot up their rear than look at him?

Mix well inside a nice cozy jail cell.

And viola, a number of dead inmates and bubba gets his wish to stay in the prison system.

Granted, if they were locked up, they'd be put in solitary confinment 'for their safety'.

But slip-ups do happen.  Security guards do look the other way from time to time.

Lotta people die in jail.  Usually child molesters as soon as their crime gets out into the population.  (Lotta guys in there have kids on the outside and don't take lightly to having to live with someone who'd try to kill or **** their kid if he got out.)

Damn, my brother and my sister tells me way too much about the time they spent in federal.

*blinks, shakes his head and just...sighs*  Gee...I don't suppose they do anything like that to the males, now do they?  Sexist bastards...  Now before someone flames me, I'm not insulting the people who *follow* that religion, just certain aspects of it.  Obviously, this is an example.  To me...toying around with the human body in such a way...is outright disgusting.  I can't really explain my reasoning for feeling that way...but...oh well, you get the idea.

It's more of a cultural than religious thing though. The Quaran in certain places actually instructs men to sexually satisfy women (which could never happen had the afore mentioned procedure been carried out).

Perhaps someone could inform me of the distribution of this practice. It's supposed to be quite common in sub-Saharan Africa but I'm not sure wherther other Arab states do it.
