Hi all. Meh, like you noticed I was gone.:rolleyes: Still am, but I'm just posting this...;)

Any modelers and animators willing to help an old TC out? We could really use some new talent for the Robotech MOD.

I'm making the DSF-1 model in TS.
Do you know where I can get the schematics of DSF-1. I know how it looks, but I want to be precise (the scale, details).

Looking for a few good men...
Could you guys tell me how to re-size joints in Milkshape 3D so that they're smaller? I'm trying to add a skeleton (for keyframe animations) to our valkryies, but the joints are bigger than the model itself!

   I sent ShadowWolf my mission files I wrote and most of the voices that go with them to get some feedback on how I did. Did you tell Max and the team that I had almost 1gig of voice captures for them if they wanted it?


  BTW ShadowWolf has made a breakthrough. We WILL have ground combat. He took a Quadrano and smashed it into a beta ground. It works... I think we can't land YET. But targets on the ground can be combatted... One Major hurdle jumped... Few more to go and we are across the finish line!

  I wanted to tell you of a side effect. I lost the ability to transform my VT's when I combined all the existing major mods together... :(

Yeah it's like the G button doesn't exist for my unless I map it as somethig else... Oh well.. Can you tell the team I asked someone if we could use their innovative shield designs for the sdf-1 barrier system and pin point system... This would also be equally cool for Nedesico like distortion fields cause they are blue-white bubbles.. I'll let you know if they said yes... I would like to test the next sdf-1 for ground missions in the future if possible (macross/mars missions) ect... l8tr...

OK since the cat's out of the bag about ground assault (grrrr), :nod:

I'll confirm.  The initial testing is coming along.  As far as it goes, yes the Combat Federation has that ability.  You may be seeing it as early as Oct 30, the scheduled release for the demo.  If i can borrow a modeller, we may be able to get it to you even faster.  Right now we are still working on textures.  Either way, if it isn't released in the demo, then it will be released in Episode 1 "The Calm Before."

Now then who do i ask for permission to steal some of your models?

I also have other special projects i need help with.  Maybe we can work something out.  The other project is right up your alley.  If i can have it done by Oct 20, i can have it out in the demo as well.

About the model - I'm largely done with the main hull (the legs and the main section with the command tower, the one that rotates during transformation still bug me a little).
The Prometheus and the Dedalus are done.

Do you want the ship in specific parts (so you can animate the transformation) or as one solid object?

And another thing - the specs say the the DSF-1 is 1.2 km long.
That's too short in my oppinion, for the fighters looked like microbes compared to it.

And another thing... I wont make turrets (aside from the main gun, and the four on the shoulders I don't know where the others are, so I leave thet to someone else).

Ok..srry, I have a bad memory, but, erm Shadowolf and Star Dragon...who are you?;) No, seriously, I've been out of it for awhile, and I've forgotten a few things...
Trashman, please, seperate objects, we need to animate it.
BTW-I've gotten the Valkryie 1/4 finished: Just the arms need to pop out, and the Fighter to Gaurdian mode will be finished. But, I still need to do battleoid.

OK, one more problem, how do I export it to keep the animation? I exported it as a .obj, and it has all of the seperate sub-objects, but how do I get the animation to play (I'm using 3D Exploration, and not even sure if the animation got exported with the model, that's why I need to check)

Well, erm. Not sure if you're all supposed to see this, but here is a beta version of the .avi. Haven't heard from Max for a little bit, so I just decided why not(zipped up in .rar format).
Still got bugs, but it's almost completed;)

I am abot 70% done with LOD0.
I'll do other LODs too, but the textures, turrets and animation is for you to do.
