all righty, let's play a trivia game. I ask a question. You answer. If I confirm your answer, you get to ask the question. And so on. Fun, aye?

So, let's start with something simple: What is the special natural condition of the Gamma Draconis system (compared to other FS inhabited systems)?

Oh, and I'll allow someone else to confirm this, time for me to go to sleep. :p

Ah, I like these threads. Too bad I have already asked my harder questions before around here. :D

It has no planets.

Here is mine: How many men escaped the NTC Alexandria before it was destroyed?

20 or something like that?

And if I'm right here's my question: "Who is the C.O. of the GVD Psamtik?"

The SC Nereid. (thanks, GW 2009!)

What was the :V: team originally planning on naming the Sathanas-class vessels?
SERIOUSLY...! | {The Sandvich Bar} - Rhino-FS2 Tutorial | CapShip Turret Upgrade | The Complete FS2 Ship List | System Background Package

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

SC Nereid? :wtf: The only Nereid ever mentioned was in the briefing for the last mission... the GTD Nereid, which collapsed the node from Vega to Capella.

The nova starts Resheph and Sesmu are either destroyed or departed, when libra has arrived, and 11 minutes and 50 seconds has elapsed. :doubt:

All you people need to play through the campaign again! Or at least look through FRED :p

The SC Nereid

Nereid is the Destroyer that closes the Vega - Capella node supposedly..

lets make it so you can't confirm your own answers unless you have proof.

This I bet nobody will get unless they have seen the VBB quiz thread:

Where was the Hammer of Light headquarters situated during FS1?

Ah, time to get answering :D -

Sandwich: The Sathanas was originally named Apocalypse.

The HOL headquarters? I have no idea.

Anyway, my question is: What was the original name of the Galatea, before it was changed by :V:

HOL Headquarters
Hmm...this sounds like it might be a trick question.  I would say it's in Altair, but I seem to remember that the HOL and the PVN were headquartered in the same system (oddly enough)...could it be Aldebaran?

Galatea
Ahhhh - I used to know this one.  It's a familiar name... [wild guess] was it the Colossus?
EDIT: No wait a minute - the Repulse!

Here's my question :nervous::
What is the name of the Orion in the FS2 intro?

*runs away very very fast* :p

Q: What are the complete 'Sales Promo' stats for the Colossus?

er...company names, or the list of all the technology that is in it?

if that's the case...

"The Colossus is the most powerful space fareing warship ever constructed, spanning 6000 metres from bow to stern, it has taken 20 years to complete. It's state of the art weaponry include: 45 laser turrets, 15 flak guns, 12 missile batteries, and 12 beam cannons. The Colossus has more fire power that 5 Orion class destroyers combined. 60 fighter and bomber wings are housed in it's vast hanger, and it's crew numbers 30,000. Some of the major contractors are, Triton Dynamics, Subach Imes, and the Akhteton Corporation. The Alliance now wages war across mutiple front, in Deneb, Alpha Centari, Epsilon Pegasi and the mysterious nebula beyond Gamma Draconis. Once deployed, the Colossus will end these conflicts swiftly and decicively, if ever the shivans were to return, we would be read for them, securing peace for today, and for generations to come..."

Close enough ;)

2360. Don't bother confirming, rechecked it from the Ships.tbl.

My question: In Endgame 2, Admiral Petrarch quotes a famous Terran poet. Who is the poet, and for a bonus point, from what book/poem/letter is the quote from
