Pardon my ignorance, but I hope all the people at the vBB who sit there and flame all day (reference: idiots), won't come spilling over into hlp. I think now would be a good time to turn on that authorization before registering feature.

Hmmm...actualy i'm not surprised, after they closed the SW forum i was almost sure the whole VBB would be closed. The VBB was just a flame pit nothing more..No interesting discusions, no friendly atmosphere only bad stuff wel you all know what i'm talking about. On the other side it's a pitty to see it go and on the other end it's good that it go's down.. Now we must hope the flames don't reach HLP.

Since the VBB is closing is there any chance of getting a Fred2 board on this site?
 I know that Fred questions can be posted on the modding board but I kinda liked it when they were kept seperate (Since there are Fredders who don`t mod and visa versa).

IIRC there wasn`t much call for a FRED board before cause of the one on the VBB but when that goes I think there will be.

I thought modding was FREDing all the time. I mean if you read the tutorial and mess around a little bit, well lets just say FREDs not really that hard to learn and use...

It's NOT. They're completely different skill sets. Lumping modding and FREDding together in the same forum makes about as much sense as putting SquadWar and... ummm... anything else together.

Not so surprised it happened.  It was being spammed like for a good and not much useful stuff has gone across VBB in a while with the exception of the occation thread or post.  It's darn shame though.
