Kazan: Spire is a paint/rendering program created by Setekhs brother (and a little help from Setekh I think) and it's hella cool, as it's custom made for the things Setekh does with it (space pics). If only I could get a copy of that baby on windows...

AFAIK, I still have the program on my HD.....or else it's on our server.  Maybe Kazan can make a windows version of it.

The version you have is a windows app - it just doesn't have the API, nor the Python libraries I use over here to run it. I can't seem to get my hands on a decent recompiler (I can't use the IBM one my brother has at work), so the one you have is probably all trashed anyway.

I found some more things to complain at  

At the back of the Deimos is a weird blue light. I don't know where the blue light source is from but it looks weird.

The three Hercs in the top of the picture are all angled (sp?) in the same direction.

All in all this is a great pic (my wallpaper right now) and I hope I don't sound like a jackass when I critize. I just want to help you to improve your (future) pics.

Sheesh...what a weekend to have a computer with a crappy monitor. By the time I can see this in really good light(looks even better now) all the glitches have been pointed out. What's an art critic to do?   Can't wait to see your next one Setekh.

I did that on purpose... They're really flying in formation, and from that far, it's not difficult to distinguish ships flying on slightly different angles. Tell your wingmen to form on your wing and you will see what I mean

I think I found one!

The lower-left Athena-2 is missing it's port engine glow.

I feel vindicated now-unless you left that out on purpose.

But looking at the different versions of actual fighters, I think NankamTechnologies ( I think it's the spelling) would have called it Perseus special, or something else. That's an ilmprovement, not a new design ( I'm boring, isn't it?  )

but isn't the Herc-2 an improvement, not a major redesign...

its the same basic shape, just more streamlined (i.e. its no longer a gun-brick)

hem, nope, look at both, they're very different. You acn't have so differnt designs on the same ship basis...
Anyway I found an exemple tha denies what I say: Harrier Mk1 and Mk2 looks much the same
