RELEASE: The Babylon Project - Relic
UPDATED: November 6, 2010 - bug fixes, new textures, and Zathras 2.0/FSO 3.6.12 compatibility implemented.

While the campaign draws much of its background from the fourth season of Babylon 5 it should be pretty friendly to those who are new to either the mod or the series it's based on.  Some situations may reward a more cutthroat approach to your playing style.  You already start out flying for the bad guys' side, so if you're feeling confident start using those pulse guns.  Good luck!

I tried Relic with Zathras 2.6/FSO 3.6.18 and got some errors on loading. Anyone else see this?

This is the error I get

There are 3 secondary banks in the model file,
but only 2 secondary banks specified for EA Thunderbolt.
This must be fixed, as it will cause crashes.

I suppose... No one ever ever converted this campaign to work with 3.6.18/Zathras 2.6. I guess some little table tweak would fix problem with Thunderbolt, but they are probably more incompatibilities. If you're not totaly modding newbie, they would be easy to fix.

I can confirm it's not compatible with Zathras 2.6 or 3.6.18.  I'll look into it more tonight.

Okay, I've checked the Relic.vp file and found there are no table or model files, so as is that part should not be conflicting with Zathras 2.6 or any other version for that matter.  This leads me to believe it might be conflicting with another TBP mod or campaign. 

Did you put TBP_Relic_1_0a.vp in the "core" TBP directory or is it in its own folder?

I'll upload a new version later today with up-to-date install instructions that might help.

I tried the separate folder and still got the error. One thing is that I am running Windows 8 64bit

As far as I know, the OS shouldn't have any bearing on it.  Since this error probably comes up on loading the first mission I saved it using the latest Zathras patch so it shouldn't be looking for out-of-date or non-existent ships when loading the missions.  Just in case, I edited every mission in the campaign that uses the Thunderbolt. 

I have no idea what could be causing the AI profile conflict since this campaign shouldn't be creating any AI profiles and it doesn't have a custom table to its name, so I'm actually stumped on that one.

This isn't a .vp file, but it can be extracted to whatever folder the .vp file is in.  Just make sure the .vp file is in a folder inside the core TBP directory.

Well since you could not find any problems I decided to do a fresh install from the DVD with only core files then add Zathras 2.6 and 3.6.18. I then added Relic and it runs. I added the other campaigns one by one and it looks like it is all working (except for multiplayer issues).

Thanks for your patience. Not sure why the older install doesn't work but it doesn't matter.
