New Terran Interceptor

Here's a new Terran interceptor, fresh out of Blender. I plan on using this in the sequel to Operation: Underground, as a fighter with tech in between the Valkyrie and the Perseus.

Any creative suggestions?

make the nose a bit thicker...as is it looks like it got stuck in a pencil sharpener. Also the top is a bit flat IMHO it would look better if it had a few more greebles. Other than that, its a fairly nice ship.
Arrr. I'm a pirate.

Delta wings R 4 bombers! Make the wings a more "fighter" style and and some big interceptor engines on the end.
OTOH that would be a good stealth fighter if you carved out some of the inside of the wing.

Hmm... any one here see a Disney (I think) film called Flight if the Navigator?

Try sticking a couple of F-15 style fins on the back. That'd make it look a bit more Teran, methinks...

I remember seeing that movie in the theatre with a couple of my middle school buddies. The whole "time moves slower the more you approach the speed of light/ relativity" thing was a pretty cool device to see used in that movie.

"Hi, Mom! Hi Dad! You haven't seen me in eight years and I haven't aged at all because I got kidnapped by aliens and spent the last eight years traveling at the speed of light, so from my perspective, I've only been gone for 12 hours, but you guys have aged normally and that's why my kid brother is now five years older than me."

The point being, the model reminds me of the ship in the film...

I like the idea but i think its a bit too smooth for a terran ship. Most of the others are excitingly chunky and look as if they have been made by half-assed human workers who took too many coffee breaks:D

Looks a bit Romulan, like a warbird, with it's flatness and pods on the wings.

Note: The wing pods are extra engines.

So smaller wings, wider nose, and some chunkiness?

Since when were Delta wings reserved for bombers?

[color=00ff66]Nicely done master Greywolf :yes:

I think you can afford to make the gun barrels a little more rounded though, I always disliked square guns.

I have a revised version on my comp. Just need to render and upload....

Nah fella, this is pretty damned sweet as it is. The nose is a little thin, but you could always pass it's streamlined nature as being 'atmospheric friendly' (and low front/rear profile like the Peggy)

Although have you thought about lengthening the wings slightlyand sweeping them back a little more? Maybe lowering the angle on them slightly? Damn fine model though:yes:

If you wait a bit, Hotsnoj, I'll send you a POF with textures, and the new 1337 swept back wings :)
