That's what I used to think of WA versions in the 2.7x range and prior - the latest version(s) play as smooth, if not smoother (due to lack of overhead resource consumption) than, Windows Media Player 6.4, let alone v9.

And instead of trying to figure out how to make us comprehend what you're wanting from a media player down to the most minute detail, why don't you download and install the latest WinAmp
version 2.x - not version 3 - and try for yourself? It doesn't take over your system like RealPlayer, MusicMatch, and all that other crap (*ahem*). You can uninstall it if you don't like it, and leave your computer none the worse for wear.
