Post your answers to these problems. I'll tell you if you're right.

1. a car travels at 20 kph for 2 hours and 30 minutes. how far does it go?

2. a monkey is eating bananas. he has 6 of them. for every banana he eats, 2 more magically appear. if he eats 4 bananas, how many will he have?

3. a beam of light travels at 300,000 kps. if you were traveling next to it at 280,000 kps, how fast would it appear to be traveling from your perspective?

#3. It would appear to be travelling at 300,000 kps, because light's speed is constant regardless of relative motion.

[color=66ff00]1. 2.5 x 20km. I'm actually surprised that you're using proper units. :D

2. 14; 4 in stomach, 2 originals and 8 magical appearances.

3. Pretty slow as you'd be pretty huge assuming E=mc^2.

for number one you didn't simplify, number two is correct, and number three is incorrect. Ford Perfect got it right.

1. 50 KM

Now here's something more complex:
4. Find the derivative of this equation:
f(x) = 5 * x^4 + 3 * x^3 - cos x

[color=66ff00]Number one was an obtuse answer and number three was a joke answer. ;)

Number 2 was the only one that interested me as it's a matter of 'how the monkey has the bananas'.

not really. the SI unit for velocity is meters per second.
