1. a car travels at 20 kph for 2 hours and 30 minutes. how far does it go?

2. a monkey is eating bananas. he has 6 of them. for every banana he eats, 2 more magically appear. if he eats 4 bananas, how many will he have?

3. a beam of light travels at 300,000 kps. if you were traveling next to it at 280,000 kps, how fast would it appear to be traveling from your perspective?

#3. It would appear to be travelling at 300,000 kps, because light's speed is constant regardless of relative motion.

for number one you didn't simplify, number two is correct, and number three is incorrect. Ford Perfect got it right.

not really. the SI unit for velocity is meters per second.

easy calculus stuff.  i remember most of it, but i finished calculus 6 months+ ago.  i'll bet i could do it if i had to though.
