I have to be honest: for a while, I felt the same way as Triple Ace. I intensely disliked anime; I thought the general animation style was crude and too stylistic and the storylines were just plain...weird. To me, animation was meant for children's cartoons; it was Looney Tunes or nothing.

However, after getting exposed to a few series on Adult Swim, I've come to appreciate some of them, mainly for the complex storylines and the actual emotional attachment you feel to some of the characters. A few of the ones that caught my interest were the original .hack, Big O, the recent Wolf's Rain, Ghost in the Shell, and Cowboy Bebop, among others; in certain ways, all of these somewhat appealed to me. There are many shows out there that I still despise, like the merchandise-themed ones and Dragonball Z (what is with that, anyway?

), but some others have begun to grow on me. The one thing that frustrates me, though, is the insistence on continuous storylines; most of the time, I'm completely lost as to what's going on plot-wise, and I feel like I'd have to view every single episode to catch up, which is frustrating. I keep watching, though, if for no other reason than because I'd like to learn more.
