First of all, please rotate and scale your images in the future so that we can see them completely when we open them.  Scrolling up and down can make it hard to see what's going on.  That said, let me get on to the design:

It's... square... and, yeah.  Square.

It does show vast improvement from the earlier ones, but it's still trivially simple.  Usually the detail either indicates an actual geometry feature or something special in the texturing beyond tiling.  Give me like 10 minutes and I'll show you just how simple it is.

EDIT: I can't believe I actually did this.

1- Thanks for Moding it. As said, i will improve it as time goes on.
2- Hehe, simple yes. Over time il improve them and add more stuff on to make it more complex.

3- So is it a good start? Hehe..

I do appreciate u doing that for me. Heh. i dont hvae time this weekend to get the other ones up (the.. badly drawn ones. IE: 3x5 notecard ones), so maby next weekend. Sorrry guys.

Edit: Seeing it MODed like this helps me to visualize it, so maby with these simple mods of the orgiional drawings, i can think up some more.. geometry to them.

  • Oh that's never leaving my hard drive.  It's not properly modeled, for one thing (anyone care to guess how many primitives are plopped on top of one another there? :p) and it's most certainly not a design interesting enough to ever make it into game.
  • It needs more than greebles.  It needs shape, something to make it interesting other than "I made this".
  • My point is, unfortunately, that it still is not good enough for anyone to bother with.  I've done better concept art in a square inch in the margins of my notes than you've managed to accomplish in an entire sheet of paper.  Rather than try to improve on these concepts, start from scratch, and keep starting from scratch until you get a design that makes you stop and think "now that's cool" and then refine it.  Nothing you'll see as published concept art is a first draft, it always goes through multiple revisions before it's ready to even get shown to the modeling crew, and that definitely applies here as much as it has anywhere.

Oh, and for the record, this was my first attempt at modeling:

Get blender, play around with it, and try to recreate a :v: ship.  Then, once you're comfortable with complex designs, move on to your own style.

Once again: Try Milkshape 3D to learn how to model. It's very simple to learn, imho.

And don't worry, just try it out :) My models were horrendous at first. Basically I just made a sphere and pulled the vertices out until they vaugly formed a spaceship :)
