Oh yeah, and speaking of which... my only FS2 mission in any sort of near-finished state here. Designed with the Velocity Mod in mind (big surprise  ) so it'll turn out somewhat differently if you play without it.

One more thing... CP, I downloaded your modded mission zip above, and none of it worked. The VP file was there, and all the subfiles showed up, but attempts to open them gave me nothing but garbage.

That is quite strange; I tried downloading the file twice and playing the game using it, but it worked fine. The file uploaded there is a bit out of date, but it should certainly work. What exactly happens when you try to run it?

What about if the only mods allowed were the old FS1 ships? That way there'd be no competeion for inclusion in the mod list, and it would add a few more ships.

Just a thought.

Well, I think the main problem is compatibility here. Sure, their made by Volition (originally), but this way you can make it, and play it, on a clean FS2 install.

I prefer doing missions without MODs in it. Much easier and it skips problem ssome of us may have with MOD compatibility. For some unknown reason, I cannot install some MODS while others can.

Oh yeah, Setekh, did you receive my email with the mission in it? I sent it to you for testing.

Well CP, I never even tried to just RUN it... I immediately started poking around the VP file. The VP showed all of the files in it just fine, by name, but none of them were valid, legit files: for example, the hud tbl was a bunch of square ASCII characters that meant nothing when I clicked on it. Extracting them from the VP didn't help at all!

I agree, it's pretty strange.   I suppose it was probably some kind of download error on my part... although a strange one indeed!
