Well, Opteron isn't really meant as a desktop CPU and last time I checked, servers didn't really need high-end video cards (and therefore AGP).

A lot of Intel's Xeon chipsets are the same, no AGP and usually onboard video simply because they're meant for servers which have no need for much more than that (the most graphically instense thing they usually display is the NT "Press Ctrl-Alt-Del to Log In" message...).

I was talking about their workstation version as opposed to their server version. Opteron is designed to be used for both.

AMD don't consider themselves major chipset manufacturers, I wouldn't have expected anything less than a token effort from them anyway. nVidia could well surprise everyone and actually get nForce3 out on time but given the record they've set with nForce and nForce2, that'll be unlikely. That'll most likely mean potential Opteron buyers will have to use whatever Via comes up with. Ugh.
