Don't bet on it now, I meant when they get this whole lawmaking setup going in the next year or so. Hell, I'd join in on that action, think I still have that Magistr hard disk around...

Pity I can't find the human-communicable computer virus, but then, there ya go.:D

[color=66ff00] Script kiddies: Coming to a network near you.

Frankly I think this is a good thing, it will push talented people to design an anonymous, easy to use p2p system. Once that happens there's no going back. :)

how would you do that, you would probly have to use some sort of proxy system but not a central server, maybe if chunks of a file got bounced around several diferent servers,
and some sort of file encription maybe

Well BT is always good. Its more legal than, say Kazaa.

I think there will be a major backlash against government and RIAA netoworks for this stuff. People consider it a right, and they dont like rights being taken away

Vyper mate, could you sum up all that Methlabs stuff for me? The descriptions of their pieces of software aren't comepletely, er, descriptive. Is their P2P thingy claiming to use other P2P networks and combine them in to one handy app?

Two main projects: Peer Guardian - stops the RIAA and any other bugger from spying on ur downloads. It blocks incoming connections from a list of IP addys that are updated when people submit new ones.

XS: AFAIK its a new network, in effect, with XS hubs being central points to download through, like the way Direct Connect works.

Does that stop the RIAA from finding out who you are by setting up a honeypot server with lots of mp3s on it slamming anyone who downloads from it?

The problem is that now thanks to the verizon case the RIAA can force your ISP to turn over your details if they think you're a pirate. What qualifies someone as a pirate is the grey area that scares me (or would if I lived in the US) cause they could concievably use it against anyone who downloads a single song from said honeypot.
