Actually - on a completely different note - I remember a story someone from Paisley told me.  He was sitting in his front room, watching the footie - half cut, of course - and noticed his TV moving across the way.  Being half cut, he was somewhat slow to realise the TV was actually moving, and not his brains..... so he gets up to the TV -  and there's a street urchin pulling on the cable that ran by the window, trying to nick the VCR from his now-relocated telly cabinet
