What it is
With Hamachi you can organize two or more computers with an Internet connection into their own virtual network for direct secure communication.

Hamachi is fast, secure and simple. It is also free.

What's in it for me
Think - LAN over the Internet.
Think - Zero-configuration VPN.
Think - Secure peer-to-peer.

Access computers remotely. Use Windows File Sharing. Play LAN games. Run private Web or FTP servers. Communicate directly. Stay connected.

Very cool software. :yes:

So this means we can have LAN-like connection over the internet, only limited by the speed of our connections?

:yes: neat. :D

CS 1.3?! To quote Indiana Jones, "That belongs in a museum!"

[color=66ff00]Only CS purists understand. ;)

There's a petition to convert the new version of 1.6 to have 1.3's movement style and hitboxes. I think a bunch of modders went and created 1.3 source anyhow.

Still the original 1.3 runs on lots of old computers so it's a good game to play on lappies and the like. :nod:

Thanks for that link.. I was having trouble setting up a network with my housemates and it now works fine... if a little sluggishly.

I thought this thread would be about sashimi. I've been tricked.
Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman
