Canada kills two birds with one stone
Remember that Canadian who the US sent on an all-expenses-paid vacation to Syria? Looks like the Canadian government is compensating him, 'cause I guess his trip to Syria turned out to be not that much fun.

I applaud Canada for its efficiency; not only have they brought this man some semblance of justice, but they've also brought the US its due humiliation by showcasing just how far up our asses we've jammed our heads.

Re: Canada kills two birds with one stone
Locally there are still some who say that the pay out is far too much but thats pretty normal whenever the government compensates someone or a group of people for wrong doings.  This is all a result of an official inquiry into the whole affair.  Sometimes our government actually works...its refreshing to have this minority government that could fall at the drop of a hat and balances on the graces of the NDP.  Stuff actually gets done because they are all scrambling around to make themselves look good!

Personally, I think people who generalise are generally stupid.

Maher Arar is a traitor and extremist; my only regret is that his stay in Syria was cut short by the meddling of local fifth-columnists and appeasing politicians who's only interest lies in promoting the interests of radical Islam.

SIKE!
