In Canada, minorities have ALL the power. I can't stress this enough. We've got Asshole natives (not all natives, just the assholes) *****ing at Ol' Steve cause their grandparents were put in residential schools, Muslims *****ing at us because of indecent exposure and ****, Sikhs *****ing cause they can't bring knives to school, Africans *****ing at us because they can't immigrate - And we (politicians) listen to most of them!. My friend gets free uni/college education - All because his grandmother was Inuit!
I have to disagree about the Natives. They well and truly got fu**ed over, and continue to be. Check the average lifespan on the reservations as compared to the rest of Canada, and tell me I'm wrong. As far as I'm concerned, they can have all the cheap smokes and casinos they want.
I agree with you on that point, but instead of *****ing about casinos and booze, they could be going off the reserves, which aren't actually reserves anymore, just slums, and get some ****ing healthcare! I mean, it's not preserving your ancient way of life when you're using your welfare to play blackjack!
