Im from that wierd area left of nowhere and south of somewhere.  I'm not sure that they have a name for it yet, but i call it hell.

how come there's so many USA-ians? (i recently got yelled at for lumping the rest of America in with USA- its not politically correct, so I'm going to try and avoid that...)

Syd Aus as you all should well know... Australia's a big place, but we only have about five or six hlp-ers here, and not all of them are active... how weird.

Vyper, I think Icespeed is referring to lumping Canada, Central America and South America with USA.

At least that's what it seems like to me; I'm originally from Argentina (South America) but my family was lucky to get out of there during the early 1970s.

Between the dirty generals, the disappeared ones, the financial collpase and the "express kidnappings", it's no wonder I only go back to Argentina for Christmas vacation. :blah: :nervous: :shaking: :wtf: :rolleyes:

I lived in the District of Columbia (Washington, DC to all of you non-USA-ians ;)) for 9 years in my 20s, and would frequently wake up in the middle of the night to hear a 9mm semiautomatic emptying its magazine -- a sound you learn to recognize very easily.

Not exactly a heavy machine gun or a rocket launcher, but you still wouldn't want to get caught in the crossfire -- dead is still dead.

Most inner cities in the US are war zones.  You just don't see it as much on the national news since it's just poor people killing other poor people.  Not as glamorous as a white middle-class kid from a suburb being kidnapped.

BTW: No offense, Sandwich; I can't imagine what you must go through on a daily basis :(
