Anyways, I bet you the most secret place on Earth is Area 49. After all, if there's an A51, gotta be a A49:D

It's called Hangar 18... Aroura I heard had too many problems and that's why they scrapped it and went to switchblade... the discovery channel is a jewel of info... As for the antigravity, there was a documentry about some sort of mag lev and the Air force test pilot was on a bogey board with controls on top of a old lady's walker mounted on it :)

I am more concered with teh rumored real mech being built in Japan...

A mech?  Bah! In this day and age a mech would be far our classed compared to the newest and fastest tanks.  Mechs just aren't practical for this day and age.

Not if they were really flexible and computer controlled to move across varied terrain quickly.  I can envision some unique ways to get around that would outclass tanks in certain environments.

Switchblade is a neat looking plane.  I love its new age stealth design.  Looks like the F-22, the JSF and the other aircraft that are currently being developed.  With the jagged edge stealth lines....awesome :)

Yes, but the size of a mech which is about 40 feet high, in this day and time couldn't reach 50-60 kph even with a turbine diesel.  Just not going to happen, unless you had some sort of nuclear powered reactor to maintain a mass amount of energy to it.  I do think they would be cool, but we just lack the right power source to supply one.

meh, japanese mecha are not all 40 feet high, stop thinking mechwarrior is the universal reference :p
in urban fights, a mech would kick any tank, but still, in urban fight, a lone soldier with a RPG would kick any vehicle, so...

I was reading this Area 51 / gov. conspiracy site the other night.. almost had me goin too, untill Franky Roseavelt was visited by 3 different alien delagations... and then the part about how JFK was shot by his driver who was an alien assasain... :rolleyes:


btw, do they have "government conspiracies" in other countires beside america? or is it a good ol' Freedom of speach thing ;)

Over 15 years ago I was in Jhs or HS and saw that falklans thing go down and was my first glimpse of the harrier jump jet (clever British ;) ) anyway at that moment I said Hmm VTOL? Why not go all the way, we now have plane and guardian mode, give it a robot urban fighting transformation and you got a LAM? If you need to engage ground targets or shoot the missiles from the ground mount extra weapon pods ABOVE the wings not below so the weapons fire has clearence to engage. I thought I was a genius back then :cool:
