Just heard about this, apparently it's console and (as far as I can tell) non-Volition. Anyone know anything about it?

wasn't bad, but way too short, and as they refused to correct an issue about cheating (well, they've corrected it a couple months ag I think, but it's about a year too late now...), :V: ruined the multiplayer.

It wasn't necessarily V's fault, the blame can be put on THQ as well. (you can't blame a developer for not maing a patch, it's the publisher that decides these things)

Umm the emulator is not quite finished yet... according to my knowledge

err... wait a sec.

http://www.ngemu.com/
This is a top notch emulation site...
They share the new information, the emulators and plugins for them BUT they do not share BIOS files. Remember, you can legally own a BIOS file only if you own the console itself. This however does not prevent you for finding the BIOS file by using other methods anyway...
But I just wanted to make sure that I'm not sharing any Warez here

Hey whaddayaknow they had released something
http://pcsx2.ngemu.com/
This is the PS2 emulator site... as far as I know
Habeeb it...

Indeed, as far as those games go. But don't blame consoles - blame the publishers.

I've revised my opinion of consoles somewhat lately having played a friends copy of Super Smash Bros for the Gamecube for some time, it's really very fun and could never be emulated on the PC with the same kind of atmosphere.

Suffice to say, it's the publishers fault for releasing games on the console rather than the PC first - and money is what drives them to do that...

I don't see the point in consoles anyway. For $300 you get a machine, with sub-PC graphics, whit what you can play games, and watch DVDs and that's it.

For the $900 an average PC costs, you get top-notch graphics, which get better and better every day, plus, almost every PC, at least here, comes with either a CD-R or a DVD drive, you also get tons more of utilities, and the Internet.

Try to access HLP on a Gamecube.

Come to think of it - why hasnt the PC tried to assimilate the console anyway? All you'd need to do is make a controler and a game which runs itself as long as the specs of the system are good enough to run it (if better.. horray).

yeah, already bought a PC, upgraded it like hell for the past few years, likewise we all have enough money to buy a console and the games ( you won't buy a console just for one game right?)
Stunaep: the point about consoles? easy: they're cheaper, you can easily bring your PS2 to your friend's place, it's super easy to use, no virus, no compatibility problems (save for zones, of course, but that's on purpose ), etc etc.
Why I don't have a console then? I don't like pads, and I don't like console games usually. Won't buy a console for 2 or 3 games that interest me. But I understand very well why some people prefer consoles to computers ( especially after my 2 months with the PC down because of stupid pbs ).

Final Fantasy X graphics are hardly sub-PC. They are better then most PC games.

I got internet on my PS2! Final Fantasy XI will be an online RPG.

But the PS2 is the only one that can do that... it also relies on a few good core games and a lot of ****e ones (although being fair that can be said of most consoles... PCs too to a certain extent).
