What's wrong with that? It's still interesting discussion.
Personally I used to not see the value in Anime, but that was when I thought most/all Anime was like Pokemon - aimed at kids and overly pathetic. Like a cartoon version of the Power Rangers or something.
Suffice to say I was mis-informed, not only is Anime interesting and in many cases novel - it's an art form. Akira, Mononoke and the Evangelion series rank amongst my favourite entertainments at the moment, Akira and Mononoke certainly kicking the crap out of a lot of US cartoons and films. Evangelion is more action orientated but I've not watched all of it yet.
Suffice to say, anyone who can't see the point in Anime is either not looking hard enough, doesn't actually know what it is - or just doesn't find it to their tastes. I can cope with that, but people saying it sucks just because they assume it's all about Picachu should die horribly.
