Well isn't it? Last time I checked there were still links to the VBB, and loads of other crap.

i like the basic outline of the main page... i think perhaps coloring could be changed :)

Admins:  Volitionwatch is coming up with a very new layout... everything is going to be completely different, and i personally think it would be pretty neat for HLP staff to have a new page/layout too :D

i still like the one we have, but it is getting a little old... content wise.

you could still have the old page, just make it like index2.php or index2.html or whatever, and have index.html the new page :D

think it'd be neat for both sites to have a new layout at the same day/time :)

You're forgetting a major factor here - time. Not everyone has tonnes of it and right now the front page works.

All the active admins are fairly busy with real life.  So no updates for now.

Once I get around to checking out my newfound FTP access to the server, I might make a few drafts for a new design if I have the time. :nod:

No offense, but as much as i love each and everyone of our admins :D :) :D , if they are too busy or preoccupied to the job, then maybe we should get someone from the community that can? I'm not trying to sound like a hypocrit or a complainer, but jus trying to be objective.

And hte Sobek is annoying now :p

so why not get someone to make the fron page? or even have a front page contest and have the HLP users vote, that'd be nice :nod:

Why does it have to be now?  Maybe we'll be able to start working on one in a month.  Who knows?  But for the moment we're busy and we're not going to worry about it.

you could make the picture of the moment randomly changing, like in Vwatch. That way it would really be a picture of the MOMENT.

That was something I've always wanted but I never found the code for it. If someone has code similar to V-Watches where a picture is randomly selected from a folder and show then I'd love to have it, and might even install it if it'll get the job done ;)

We realize we need to update the contents of the front page, but please don't start pushing for a new design just now. It's not gonna happen - the current design works perfectly, and we can't see any real benefit on upgrading it right now.
