Game starts with no weapons
I'm incapable of choosing or adding weapons to the FSPORT main campaign, in effect my ship is weaponless by default!
But the Intelligence campaign is functionnal, why?

The exits are on the rear and left. Flamethrowers are located under the seats. If you see a big monster in the vents it's just Carl. Don't make any sudden moves and you'll be ok.

No, I have no added tables (?): I downloaded the standard FSPORT 2.0 from GalacticEmperor's site and added the files to a copied FS2 folder (meaning I have two FS2 folders on my comp).

Maybe I should do like the other guy did earlier: re-install?

That or make sure the vp file you d/led is in your folder that is located under C://games/FS2

Wrong weapons in FS1-missions
When playing the first fs1-missions, I start with the HL-7 and the Akethon. It should be the ML-16 and the Disruptor, I think. I've extracted all files from the root_fs2.vp and replaced the original weapons.tbl in the \data\tables-folder with the one from the port. Then I've deleted the root_fs2.vp to make sure that there is only one weapons.tbl in the game. But it makes no difference, I still only get the HL-7 and the Akheton. I think it's a lttle bit unfair to the Vasudans :-)
Any suggestions? Perhaps a problem with my german version of the game?

as said, I beleive it's your tables. Make sure you don't have any other mods, and don't get rid of root-fs2, you'll need that. :)

I've had the same problem before and it was because I had tables from other mods in Games/FS2

After a close look on those .tbl-files I found a tstrings.tbl which contains a "default"-part in english and a german translation. Every little bit of text is translated in german. So I changed the language of the game in the registry from german to default. Now everything is just fine. I have the correct names and descriptions of the fs1-weapons.  There is only a funny mix of briefings in english with voices in german, but who cares.
Which one is the correct entry for hi-res-textures, "D3DUseLargeTextures DWORD" or "D3DUseLargeTextures"? I think the second one is the right one, but perhaps I didn't understand the readme.txt right in that aspect.

FRED2 made missions(by me) mysteriously jump to 138 second entry delay, and by then the player is dead... hapens Every time i make a mission, only aftei i got the port

None of the FS missions work! ST ones do??:confused:  WTF happend here?

Hardware:
750mhz + GeForce 2 and 450mhz + GeForce 2 on 10BaseT network.

Software (Both computers):
Freespace 2 with V120 patch installed and nothing else except the fsport2.vp file in the main folder.

FS2 situation without FSPort MOD:
Team Vs Team works fine, rarely ever crashed. Found a nasty problem that crashes the mission on load if Beta, Gamma or other reserved wings are present, (but not related to this mod in any case).

FS2 situation with FSPort MOD:
Team Vs Team missions either crash as soon as the host commits (host player gets crashed) or crashes during play (client gets crashed). Even with the mission works without crashes play is very unstable with the client becoming disconnected and suffering an erratic inability to fire missiles.

All crashes appear to be access violation exceptions and get added to the errorlog.txt file.

Even Team Vs Team missions without any FSPort MOD content are crashing with the mod installed.

Repoducing the bug:
Try making a quick mission just by placing the Alpha and Zeta wings, a couple of capital ships and use FSPort content. Chances are it will crash on commit or the client will get messed up during play. I could easily do an example myself if you would prefer, would take no more than a few minutes to do.
