Hardware:
750mhz + GeForce 2 and 450mhz + GeForce 2 on 10BaseT network.
Software (Both computers):
Freespace 2 with V120 patch installed and nothing else except the fsport2.vp file in the main folder.
FS2 situation without FSPort MOD:
Team Vs Team works fine, rarely ever crashed. Found a nasty problem that crashes the mission on load if Beta, Gamma or other reserved wings are present, (but not related to this mod in any case).
FS2 situation with FSPort MOD:
Team Vs Team missions either crash as soon as the host commits (host player gets crashed) or crashes during play (client gets crashed). Even with the mission works without crashes play is very unstable with the client becoming disconnected and suffering an erratic inability to fire missiles.
All crashes appear to be access violation exceptions and get added to the errorlog.txt file.
Even Team Vs Team missions without any FSPort MOD content are crashing with the mod installed.
Repoducing the bug:
Try making a quick mission just by placing the Alpha and Zeta wings, a couple of capital ships and use FSPort content. Chances are it will crash on commit or the client will get messed up during play. I could easily do an example myself if you would prefer, would take no more than a few minutes to do.
