The Truth
 The bonsai kitten website is a hoax, created as a joke by some students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology._ There are numerous published reports about the site, but one of the best is a article in USA Today from 2-20-2001by Janet Kornblum._ According to Kornblum, the site was set up shortly after Christmas, 2000, satirize ''the human belief of nature as commodity."_ Kornblum interviewed one of the creaters who used an alias, "Dr. Michael Wong Chang."_ He said one of the main aims was to "punish the hypocritical and easily offended by upsetting them, and to amuse those who understand."_ The result has been an international outcry by animal rights groups who say that even if the site is a joke, they object to the fact that it displays and could provoke animal cruelty._ In response to concerns from Internet readers, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals investigated the site and found no evidence of animal abuse._ No kittens have actually been put through the torture described on the site._ An FBI investigation was also opened.

Anyone who fails to realize that it's a hoax from now on should be stuck in the damm jar for the good of humanity.

I blame TG's posting of an actual article describing it as a hoax and its origins, and the subsequent lack of attention given it by those who want to be outraged. Go write the Onion some nasty letters about its articles or something, willya? Morons.

This website, horrible as it is, is not the worst thing out there.  What's even more amazing is the conspiracy coverup of the dangers of DHMO.  How can we continue to tolerate the use of such a chemical?  Honestly, I don't see why the issue can be ignored.  We should be outraged!

Actually, the DHMO thing pisses me off a bit, just because it's so damn unoriginal. I remember the guy who invented that whole routine- it was great then, because nearly everyone wanted to ban it (kinda making a commentary on our current chem laws), but now it's just OLD.

Depends on how mature of a Christian he is (mature meaning, has he been a Christian for long).  I consider myself a hard-core Christian too, but I realize that the site doesn't take itself seriously...especially considering where it links to.  That being said, there are a couple of thoughtful bits on the site.  Even the concept that Jesus was black is not without merit.  He had some African blood in him (take a look at the geneology) and he was probably pretty dark already from being born in the Middle East.
