It hasn't been released here in Singapore, so I cannot say much about it except that I have seen the trailers and I think it should be a great Bond movie like the rest. The rest of my verdict will come after I actually see it.:D

Anyway, with the exception of "Die Another Day", I think my favourite James Bond movie would have to be Goldfinger. Lots of snow, beaches, action, explosions, sexy girls. Nice mixture.

Don't mind the comments I made above, Tiara. Its a guy thing.:p

  • It was a joke
  • But xXx qualifies itself quite well for a Bond type movie

It seems he did a lot of "flipping" (in his vehicles) in the preiveiws. At least he won't break his arm in this one.

hopefully.

I actually liked "From Russia With Love" the best.

Live And Let Die because:

  • the title song of course
  • much of it was filmed here in New Orleans
  • my friends the gators and snakes
  • the idiot hick sheriff
  • the hilarious cheesy version of a voodoo ritual
  • seeing the nauseating Jane Seymour get slapped around
  • the look they give Moore when he walks into Kananga's bar
  • the opening scene with the jazz funeral:  a huge crying sad procession then an agent watching asks "who's funeral? "   Answer: "yours".   The agent gets stabbed then put in the coffin and the procession starts jammin' and dancing all happy

Moonraker. Just for the whole over-the-top space battle at the end. Also for the return of Jaws, some of the more memorable music in a Bond film, and perhaps the ultimate realization of the "villain's secret mountain base" cliche.

I've seen all the James Bond movies except Die Another Day.

Must catch that one.

Tomarrow Never Dies

GoldenEye would have been perfect if there was more use for the BMW. Also more Bond music in it would have been nice.
I finally destoryed the Shivan armada and all I got was this lousy T shirt.

Well, this is true. But you just had to love that tank chase - the way Bond hand-brake skids it into the middle of a crossroads, looks over his shoulder at the wrecked cars behind him, then straightens his tie and drives on... that one moment redifined the word 'smooth'

Ah, the straighten-tie pun is one of the best ones in all Bond-movies. Another excellent example is in The World Is Not Enough, where Bond converts his boat into a sub, blast through the (under)water and straightens his tie. Yes.

And TND had the best theme song evar.

And if the widget for activating the satellite wasn't so incredibly contrived. Came across like something out of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
