The thing seems to be lacking help files.

So, please explain, what does Participation Level do. For example, I currently have a PL of Guru (247). How do this differ from PL Low?

And what the hell does all of that do anyways?

It affect the place you take in line for a file. I use KLcheater and am always on 1000 (Supreme being).

Also use speed up (usually comes with Kazaa lite).

As for missing files: Did you recently use adaware? Yes? Then reinstall kazaa. The adwares/spyware are parts it cannot miss

(Yes, there are still ad/spywares in kazza lite. Although much less)

I don't think so. I ran ad-aware right after I installed KL and i didn't find one single spy-ware. Mind you, I have updated Ad-aware. By the way, spyware may be minimiesd by not installing speed ups and aditional. Just pure instalation. It also doesn't slow down your computer which is important to me since I use a 450/128/8GB

Seriously, I've been downloading a movie for about two weeks now at a crappy 2kbps - hoping it'd pick up to more normal DSL speeds - nothing. Installed this and I'm now getting a much better 12kbps. Not perfect but it's a difference!

Bah, there's a difference between well known programs such as Kazaa and Morpheus compared with warez sites and so on. The program itself isn't illegal, what you do with it is - but since you can't link to what you do with it it doesn't affect us here.

Now, if you're all done with me clarifying what my opinion of the warez laws around here are.. I'm going to get some sleep

I have 40 kb/s MINIMUM... 75 kb/s max on KL.

*wishes it was her normal d/l speed of +/- 400 kb/s*

Depends where you download from I guess, a download speed is only as fast as its server, if I'm getting something from a busy 56K then of course the download time will suck.

Have you considered switching to KaZaAn? It's more stable, but the error messages are really rude (and sometimes it decides your music choices are boring and refuses to download them).

More stable? I have 50-60 kbs average d/l and no crashes whatsoever... I'm fine with KL

Where do you download from to get that high speeds? I usually get some 12-14 kbps
