:wtf: I hope you were being sarcastic and forgot the smiley, 'cause it didn't come across that way. But whatever - expressing one's beliefs, as long as such expression does not cause undue harm to others, is most certainly not grounds for banning... heck, I can't even believe I'm explaining this - it was in jest to begin with. Ask DG, if you want. :)

I wouldn't be surprised, but no-one would hear about it even if they did - government-controlled media has a tendency to keep such things hush-hush. :doubt:

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Sandwich: But it wouldn't be hush-hush outside of Jordan and Syria. The US doesn't like either of those countries, likes Israel pretty much more than any other country barring itself, and it'd be pretty damn hard to cover up the deaths of some 2,000 Palestinians. Yes, there have been a significant number of deaths in those countries, but I seriously doubt it's on THAT scale.

Though there might be some validity to that- it's certainly of lesser interest to the media, 'cos it's considered an internal affair there (unless I've forgotten a lot of what I know about the region's history), so few people are complaining, whereas Israel is considered to be an international one.

I've got a better solution.  Lets all build a ship, form our own GTVA, nuke the surface and start over from scratch. :)

I'd lock this, but I'm dying to find out what the heck that was supposed to mean... and yes, I see the "lol" smiley, I'm not "offended" at all, just intensely curious. :D
