My lates two creations, the Praetorian 105D(tm) and Humongous Lens Flare(tm)
 

Due to the near-total lack of fighterbays on IC ships, sorties with even light hostile ships tend to end badly, with bombers being sortied and driving off the IC fleet. The answer to this is the Praetorian 105D, a stripped-down light carrier capable of supplying, repairing, and housing a single wing of fighters or bombers.

The Praetorian series is extremely fast and cheap, but the earlier models (105D, 108D, and 205NF) are very weak targets, unarmed or nearly so, and in most cases highly volatile due to the weapons and fuel stored onboard for reloading fighters

The Shaula system is not really important in any way, except that it has the most Earth-like conditions of any IC system outside the Core worlds.

It was a 10-minute model I did to justify puttin in my very nice lens flare. I just found out how to do RDS flares, and there's a selection of several dozen... this is my favorite. And yes, this eventually will be a mod, but only when I add another half in detail.

Shut up. I actually do like that fighter (one of these days I'll make a better skin for it, but I've found that I'm less likely to make the simple-looking small ships look like congealed balls of scrap.

And how was I supposed to know about that? You want I should start picking names from the Hitchhiker's Guide books? There's only so much history to go around, and besides- the Sol Terrans still don't know about you GTVA high-tech geeks
